I'm a bad bad blogger! A month ago we had a fight-choreography rehearsal. Did I blog about it? No, did you? We shot the teaser three weeks ago. Did I blog? I did in me hoel. Then we did the first offline cut with John Turner. Did I blog? Did Leitrim win the All Ireland? Now the VFX and the sound are being done, and I'm playing blog catch-up.
What can I say about the teaser shoot? We had a frighteningly (for me) professional crew. I will mention no names for fear of favouritism, but largely due to their efficiency, we did all we needed to do and wrapped two and a half hours early on Sunday. Happy days!
Galahad from Vastvalley, the guys who provided us with the Red camera package, invited us back to look at the rushes on their 2k monitor. I don't think we screwed up too badly, and the Red camera is really as good as everybody says.
Peter Roberson our DP left the day after the shoot to lens West Is West in India, the follow-up to the 1999 movie East Is East. His early involvement and support brought a lot of great people onboard so thanks for that Peter we owe you one.
And the other big owe you one is Mark O'Halloran. This guy, apart from being a somewhat influential writer, was born to be an action hero. He has brought a whole heap of stuff to this project, some of which he probably doesn't even know he's brought. Muchas gracias Mark.
You'll be seeing the results of our labours on the site in a couple of weeks. I, for one, can't wait.
